"Westgate Chapel forms the central part of a larger building now known as Westgate Meeting, whose trustees are responsible for the upkeep of the building for the use of the congregation and the benefit of the wider community. The building has provided the home for the Lewes One World Centre since 1987, with representatives from a number of local societies and groups, such as Friends of the Earth and the Lewes Asylum Seekers' Support Group. The Chapel and the adjoining Hibbert Room, which has been recently refurbished, are also frequently used for chamber concerts, meetings and rehearsals by local musicians and other artists, as well as for exhibitions of artwork and photography. In addition, the building is the home of the annual Tom Paine Festival lectures. Since the start of 2007, Westgate Meeting has been administered by Paddock Productions, a thriving local arts charity, whose administration is now based in the lower ground floor of the building
